TRON x adidas Capsule Collection Previews

You all know the tron, the 1980's movie about science fiction and a game where you enter and you get all cool looking (thats the plot right?). Well at comic-con
this past week the NERDs were out in force and at one of the many booths, this one based around TRON LEGACY, the new film recreated for our generation ADIDAS has teamed up with the TRON Creators to make some trainers based around the TRON theme and they are frikkin amazing!

I really like them, especially the glow in the dark/NEON adidas stripes, its a great touch and another reason for you to pick up some adidas and support the cause, they are coming really hard this year and its amazing how a brand I began to turn off from in the last 5 years or so is now becoming a major force again, with the star wars packs, Jeremy Scott releases and overall brand identity shift has really helped them appeal to me, shout out to Adidas guys, your doing the goodness right now!

Also Shout out to http://www.freshnessmag.com/ Amazing site always bringing the fresh news! And shout out to Jono for pushing me onto this before I had the chance! :)

Blu Mile is going on a journey and we cant wait for you to follow with us! @TheBluMile

Last Time, I PROMISE!... Kanye Performs tracks off the anticipated album

As you can see from the colour, it is Blu writing here (no irony intended) I am going to beging by saying I apologise, i know we haven't spoken on trainers and fashion for a while, i apologise and will return with some new trainers for your taste. This is the last time music will be posted on our blog during a the week EXCLUDING "Strictly Music Sunday".

Kanye West has announced on his twitter that he is not going to call his new album "Good Ass Job", he continued to say "There are many other names bouncing about". This was announced on his Verified twitter.
However this post is about his performances at Facebook HQ, he performs three tracks off the album, "Mama's Boyfriend", "Chain Heavy" and "Sweat on my face". As you can see i am a big, big, BIG fan of yeezy and have been enjoying following all of the build up to Kanye's album.

J. Cole Speaks on his album

The new Roc Nation singing is due to release his album and has said that he is NOT having any features at all. Maybe JAY-Z but it is not certified. Risky move J!
Check it out.

Confusion

okay we have heard from numerous people that it is hard to understand who is writing each post and that we should have some sort of indication.
So from this post forward...

Blu is going to write in Blue (as you would of guessed)
AND
Miles is going to write in Red

If it is a neutral post from both of us (Like this post itself), we will leave the colour of the font as it is. Which is grey.

Thank you for checking out our blog... We really appreciate it.

Shoe of the Day v5

SHOE OF THE DAY IS BACK! Sorry its been a long time coming, but exams and other ideas for the blog have taken control of it! Me (miles) is back now and ready for your shoe of the day at least 3 times a week! keep checking back to the Blu Mile for our latest trainer obsession of the week (yes they change every day) Ive scoured the blogs, looked at the fashionista sites and found my shoe of today!

Today's shoe is the part of the brand new line from Kr3w, the brand in connection with supra and the website factory413!

Im talking about the brand new high top (boots) from the brand who realise their first own branded footwear this fall in the US (and hopefully soon after in UK retailers)

My favourites are the light shade of brown/maroon's to the far right of the picture! These with a pair of khaki pants would be a nice combo mixed with plain white tee!

The boot hype has seemed to become quite a high end fashion piece recently and many celebrities such as Will.i.am and Usher have taken the boot craze to the next level with ones being made by Martin Margiela and other well known designers.

CHECK OUT THE LOW TOP VERSIONS TOO!

I love the simple sleek design of both high and low tops, the soft leather also makes the colour more rugged, just perfect for a skater or someone looking for that 'INDIE' look.

These should drop at http://factory413.com/blog/ in the fall as mentioned, not at a to high price I don't imagine based on their other products!

BLU MILE TEAM.

*Strictly Music Sunday!!* Whats New??

Okay, okay You're all hyped over Drakes Album "Thank Me Later" (I personally didn't think it was that great to be honest) and think what more could you ask for. Well Drake has come out and said that he is going to release a mixtape named "No more thank yous" and has been releasing many tunes which are due to feature on this mixtape.

This tune is called "Do it All" and is produced by Rob Holladay
Drake - Do It All

Everybody is anticipating Rick Ross's Third album "Teflon Don" and are not wasting any of their time when listening to his singles which he has released. There has been a leak of the supposed first half of the album as there it is only 11 tracks long. We have not shared the link to download this, however we are going to share with you some of our favourite tracks that have been released.

Rick Ross featuring Raekwon - Audio Meth (produced by The Runners)

Rick Ross - Free Mason

Who likes Yeezy? I DO!! haha yeah, i know a lot of people have left Kanye since 808s and also his arrogant persona and actions since he ran up on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift. However, i believe his album "Good Ass Job" expected to drop September 14th is going to big a album worth buying, NOT downloading (unless bought of iTunes), NOT buring, yes people BUYING. Anyway enough of me being bias towards Kanye.
There has been a release of his Tracklist on the web, even though it is allegedly fake, it's a good insight into what tracks are due to appear on the album and causes further excitement. A load of Features for us to look forward to.

Tracklisting

  1. Hell Of a Life (feat. Lil’ Wayne) [Kanye West x DJ Toomp]
  2. Dark Fantasy [RZA]
  3. Power [S1]
  4. Chain Heavy (feat. Eminem x Jay-Z) [Kanye West]

  7. Runaway [Kanye West x Q-Tip]
  8. Lost In The World (feat. Nicki Minaj x Rick Ross) [Kanye West x No I.D.]
  9. Gorgeous (Ode To Kardashians) (feat. Drake x Game x Ludacris) [Kanye West]
  10. Monster [Kanye West x DJ Premier]
  11. Holding Me Back (feat. Mos Def x Talib Kweli x Phonte) [Kanye West x Madlib]

Kanye West - Power

Erase Me - Kid Cudi ft. Kanye West

J. Cole!!! Who knows about J? If you don't know yet, i advise that you get involved now/ASAP, he is one of the most anticipated new signings to Roc Nation. He is often compared to Drake and also Jay Z and Nas in their early years, its quite clear why. The north Carolina Rapper has shown his lyrical talent in his early released a mixtapes called "The Come up" and just as he got signed released another one named "The Warm up" both being deep mixtapes with excellent tracks. One one of my favourites being:

He now has a new track called "Premeditated Murder"produced by himself Jermaine.

Chivalrous Culture [Diggy Simmons]

If you used to tune into "Runs House" on MTV, you would be sure to know Daniel 'Diggy' Simmons, Rev. Russel Simmons' son. He has recently become a teenage idol in the hip hop game and has released a variety of freestyles which has splashed a lot of respect from artists like Lupe Fiasco, Nas and Diggy's idol Pharell Williams.
Diggy was know to have his own style and his extravagant dress sense has led to him teaming up with Pharell to start their own clothing line and he is also releasing his own Sneaker Line too.

Chivalrous Culture he has named them, he revealed image of his creation on Twitter and also Ustream. He also spoke about them briefly during interviewing Pharrel Williams (which I have embedded at the bottom of this post). These Hi-tops are coming in a larger assort of colourways which leaves it wide open for your choice of style. Heres a few images, to tease your eyes. Enjoy.

This is the lid of the box, nice basic logo with Arial font "Chivalrous Culture".

Fresh ruby colourway of one of the Hi-tops. Looks good, definite copp if the price is right.
We don't only talk about fashion and our passion for footwear, We love music and if you haven't heard anything by Diggy hear is his "Made you Look" Freestyle. I (Blu) suggest that you GET INVOLVED. Keep an eye out for Diggy is going to make the scene go crazy!! Furthermore watch him interview Pharrell Williams, Pharrell is a very deep and inspirational guy.

RocNation takeover the Wireless Festival 2010

Besides there being numerous acts standing out on the Line up for Wireless Festival 2010, for example the likes D12, Lilly Allen, Chase and Status and even Slash. Rocnation seemed to steal the show with each of their performances (regardless that there was only three from the label). I advise everybody, to bring a camera with them whether it is digital or video, i forgot mine unfortunately and had to make do with my phone which then my battery sadly died and i only got a snippet of JAY-Zs performances :(.
Here is the Line up for the day, bare in mind that the festival lasts for three days.
TheBluMile's Blu (me) attended the event and made sure i saw each of these Performances including others like Scorcher, Chipmunk, DJ Blame... However i made sure i attended J. Cole, Wale and JAY- Z and i am most certainly sure a lot of over people did also as the stages became extremely packed in a short amount of time.
J. Cole was the first person to perform, he performed his single "Who Dat" and also his astonishing verse from his song with JAY-Z "A Star Is Born" which is originally on JAy-Z's album. However later on in the day, J. Cole performed "A Star Is Born" alongside JAY-Z on stage.

Wale came on stage towards the end of J. Cole's stage time and they performed "Beautiful Bliss" causing, after Wale then started to perform a few of his own songs then finally jumping into the crowed allowing everyone to embrace his presence further. Here is the video below.

JAY-Z Being the headline performed last, sadly my battery on my phone was on the break of dying so i only have a variety of snippets of performances and the stage Decor. JAY-Z was "fashionably" late for appearing on stage, he was due on stage at 20:45 and ended up arriving at 21:15, the atmosphere from the 10 minute countdown onscreen was immense. It was a fantastic performance and as i said RocNation overwhelmed the crowed, however Lilly Allen and Professor Green was a good performance.
